Watch live: Postmaster general testifies before Senate on USPS oversight, 2024 election

U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is set to testify before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Thursday morning, just weeks after the President-elect Trump won a second term in the White House and as the holiday season begins.

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) released its post-election analysis report earlier this week, outlining the steps taken to process nearly 100 million mail-in ballots during the 2024 election cycle.

Trump and the USPS have been at odds in the past, primarily after the 2020 election when the president-elect floated unsubstantiated claims of election fraud, citing mail-in ballots in key battleground states.

DeJoy pushed back on such claims earlier this year, ensuring the agency would be in “great shape” for the general election. USPS has also been under pressure to cut costs.

The House Oversight Committee will hold a similar hearing next week.

The event is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m. EST.
